Community Games and Aspire Active Education Group today announced a partnership to get more children moving.
United in their mission to create more physical activity opportunities, the new partnership enables the two organisations to reach, engage and inspire more children.
Both Aspire and the Community Games run activities and events throughout the year to engage children in physical activity. The partnership will see the two join forces to create greater impact. Active Camps, Aspire’s school holiday activity provision, will now be a part of the Community Games sporting events running in Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth. Buddy, the Community Games mascot, is set to be a special guest at Active Camps this summer.
Founder and organiser of the Community Games Dennis Kennedy said:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be working in partnership with the Aspire Active Education Group, an organisation I have admired for many years through their great work in promoting positive physical activity experiences, a value very much at the heart of what we do at the Community Games. I am looking forward to seeing the relationship grow through the Games and also through our educational links over the years to come.”
“We’re delighted to be teaming up with the Community Games”
said Paul Griffiths, co-founder of the Aspire Active Education Group.
“Sharing the same vision of reducing physical inactivity to inspire health and happiness, we’re an ideal fit to bring about change. We look forward to a long-standing and successful relationship that engages many more children in positive physical activity experiences.”
Aspire Active Camps are set to be a part of the following Community Games events:
- Tamworth, Castle Grounds: July 20th
- Sutton Coldfield, Wyndley Leisure Centre: August 13th & 14th
- Lichfield, Beacon Park: September 17th & 18th
