Little Sutton Netball Passing on the Passion at the Community Games

At the Community Games we are so privileged to work with so many amazing clubs making great strides to help promote physical activity within the community.  It never ceases to amaze us the enthusiasm and passion that every coach and provider shows towards their sports.

The clubs and activity providers that attend our Community Games events all give up their time to volunteer.  We are so proud and humbled by their constant support and passion for the Community Games and their drive and commitment to inspire others.

Last year our events have contributed to Little Sutton Netball Club members totalling an amazing 1,434 hours of volunteering throughout 2022 as part of England Netball Pass on your Passion programme.

#passonthepassion is an initiative through England Netball to reward the netball community for volunteering.   England Netball Pass on your Passion programme, aims to recognise the countless number of young volunteers in netball. With athletes between the ages of 12 -25 being rewarded once they have completed 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 400 voluntary hours in netball.

We are so pleased that our Community Games events have enabled so many aspiring young netball players and coaches to increase their volunteer hours – thus inspiring others to me more active.  Through the Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Lichfield and Winter Community Games, members of Little Sutton Netball Club members have totalled 260.5 hours of Pass On The Passion volunteering.   Such an amazing achievement that we are proud to have supported them in.

We are also excited to announce that Little Sutton Netball Club are the first sports club to become a Buddy Blue Sponsor and have even given their Buddy his very own Netball kit – we love it!!

“Giving our athletes opportunities to develop skills off the court is incredibly important to us.

“Being part of the community games has been nothing short of incredible.

“Our girls have been able to build their confidence, communication and leadership skills through interactions with the local community by doing something that they love!

“One of the reasons we love netball is because of the fun and life long friendships it brings – being able to share that really has been one of this years highlights.”

“2022 was a wonderful year of sport for the Region and the Games, and it’s Clubs like Little Sutton Netball that help us to inspire thousands of people to be more physically active.  Not only did the girls deliver a fun and engaging netball activities for our visitors to participate in, they fully embedded themselves into the Games culture by supporting us with delivery, helping other clubs, getting involved in all that a Community Games day offers and encouraging others to do the same.  What a truly fabulous group of young ladies!”

Little Sutton Netball Club offers classes throughout the week including their ‘Back to Netball’ session for adults for all ages and abilities.
